The Greek City States are a collection of independent city states centred on the Peloponnese peninsula though states do exist on the eastern Appenine peninsula and along the eastern coast of Anatolia. The states are a loose confederation, electing a Greek Council which represents them at the global level and acts as mediators in disputes among the states. The Council sits in Syracuse and is led by the President.
