The Phoenician States are a collective of city states of which the primary ones originate from the region of Phoenicia along the northern Levant coastline. The collective is economic and cultural in nature, as formally the states comprising the collective are fully independent political states, which clash with each other from time to time. The two primary states are the city states of Tyre and Sidon along the Levant coast, with city states also existing in Sicily and Cyrene along the north African coast.

Culturally, the Phoenicians share a lot with the state of Carthage, although the Carthaginians have since developed into a power in their own right.
